Clean Mining, Part Of The Clean Earth Technologies Group, Signs MOU With SGS Australia Pty Ltd

Clean Mining Pty Ltd (‘CML”), part of the Clean Earth Technologies Group, today signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with SGS Australia Pty Ltd (‘SGS”). The MOU is to establish the terms and understanding between CML and SGS to facilitate testing services and collaborative activities.

CML owns the award-wining gold recovery solution. Its innovative ore processing technology represents an important scientific breakthrough that eliminates the use of cyanide and mercury in the treatment of precious metal ores, particularly gold. Thus, it offers a new global gold standard which is toxic-free ore processing. The technology, developed by Australia’s premier research agency, the CSIRO, is suitable for all gold mining operations, regardless of size, scale and location.

SGS Australia Pty Ltd is the world’s leading inspection, verification, testing and certification company. SGS is recognised as the global benchmark for quality and integrity. With more than 89,000 employees, SGS operates a network of over 2,600 offices and laboratories around the world. It is also an established training organisation within the mining industry and has created a group of experienced personnel.  This is supported by a global network of technical experts in their metallurgical laboratories and engineering teams.

With this MOU, SGS will set up CML’s testing and coordinated solutions for all geological, analytical, metallurgical and plant engineering needs.

Kevin Fell, Group CEO of Clean Earth Technologies, said: “CML will benefit from SGS’s vast global footprint which is supported technically and operationally with a major hub laboratory facility located in Perth. This provides Clean Mining’s projects with local access to technical and operational support. SGS and CML have jointly committed to the global reduction of cyanide use for gold extraction. With this, we are looking forward to developing this collaboration across SGS vast network for the benefit of miners who want to access our non-toxic solution globally”.

Mr Mark Davidson, National Sales Manager of SGS, said:

“SGS Australia is looking forward to the collaboration with CML with regard to their analysis and testing requirements. We are constantly looking beyond customers’ and society’s expectations in order to deliver market leading services wherever they are needed. By working with CML, we are making the world a better and safer place”.

This partnership will strengthen and advance the interests and activities of both companies – all in one testing of the ores and the gold recovery using CML’s non-toxic solution.  Initially, the global testing services will be launched in Australia. The ultimate aim is to expand these services globally and CML will utilise SGS vast footprint across all regions.
